Webster Hardness Tester
WH Webster hardness tester is a portable instrument which can on-site test soft metals quickly. The Webster Hardness Tester is used to inspect the result of heat treatment, to sort the materials in the warehouse, and to test the long workpieces inconvenient taken to the lab. The Webster hardness tester is very suitable for quality inspection of batch products one by one in the production field. The hardness value can be read directly on the indicator dial.
A test can be completed by one press.
· Models for testing brass, copper and mild steel respectively
· Modification models for testing thick pieces or slim tubings
· Tests sheets, extrusions, pipes
· Very fast, very simple and very portable
· Small indentation
· Conforms to ASTM B647

Hardness Tester File Set is an inexpensive, easy-to-use method for determining material hardness by sliding the file across the object's surface. Six color coded files indicate hardness from 40 to 65 HRC. Conveniently packaged in a leather-like case with a velcro lined flap, the files are approximately .157" in diameter and 7" in length (4.3Ø x 175mm).
Colour | Indication | File Hardness |
Red | 40HRC | 40-42 HRC 392-412 HV |
Yellow | 45 HRC | 45-47 HRC 446-471 HV |
Light Green | 50 HRC | 50-52 HRC 513-544 HV |
Green | 55 HRC | 55-57 HRC 595-633 HV |
Blue | 60 HRC | 60-62 HRC 697-746 HV |
Black | 65 HRC | 64-66 HRC 800-865 HV |
Testing Procedure:
• Run the Black file (65 HRC) over test material. If it marks the material, the material is less than 65 HRC.
• Try the Blue file (60 HRC). If it does not mark the material, it indicates that the file is softer than the material and is between 60 and 65 HRC.
• If the Blue file (60 HRC) marked the material, continue testing with the Green (55 HRC), Light-Green (50 HRC), etc. until the material is not marked. The approximate hardness of the material is between the file that marks the material and the file that slides over the material.
• Included chart also shows the appropriate Vickers Hardness (HV).

EMF- Portable Gauss Meter is a hand-held portable version of our Gauss meter with higher measuring ranges. The equipment is designed to work off a reliable built-in Ni-MH rechargeable battery. Once charged, the battery lasts for about 4 to 6 hours of continuous operation of the instrument.
If the instrument is adjusted with a reference magnet of known field strength, better accuracy can be obtained
SPECIFICATIONS:
Power |
Built-in 3.6V Ni-MH rechargeable battery. Suitable battery charger is supplied with the instrument. Battery has no ‘memory effect’ commonly associated with NiCad batteries and can be charged at any time even before it gets discharged. The charger has an automatic protection against overcharging. |
Display |
31 digit LCD display. Lo-Bat indicating LED is provided to indicate when battery needs recharging. The charger works off 210-240VAC mains and is provided with ‘power’ and ‘BAT LO’ indicating LEDs. |
Range 1
|
0 – 1.999 kGauss. |
Range 2 |
